The Times are Changing

What's happened to the Channel 7 we once trusted for local news?  What's up with all the busses in town that say "Turn off Channel 7" and "Eyewitness Greed?"  Those busses are asking you to take a stand for local news and the working people who bring it to you.

Channel 7's owners have cut jobs and are proposing further way to reduce the quality of the news you depend on. Sure times are tight - and everyone including the workers at Channel 7 are willing to tighten their belts.  But this goes beyond that - It appears that Corporations want to reduce the number of TV news operations - making your voice - smaller and smaller - until there is just one voice left - the voice of corporate America.

Benjamin Franklin said the surest guard against tyranny is a free press.  But when TV news becomes more concerned with profit then the community they serve, we see a new kind of tyranny appearing - and that's not good for you.

Look at the economy - it's time to bring American Values Back - Turn off Channel 7 until they give their workers a fair contract.
